Dancin' Queen

We decided to start Kaitlyn in dance class this year not only for fun but for her social and develpmental skills. She is still shy and as a twin we felt it was important for her to have a "singleton" exprience of her own. She was very apprehensive the first weeks of class but as the weeks and months passed she came out of her shell. Every few weeks we were allowed to observe the class. Each practice I was able to see the amazing progress she has made. About three quarters through the year, her teacher told me , "I can't believe how far she has come." When she took to the stage for her dress rehearsal I was overwhelmed while watching her dance. She performed more on the stage then I had seen her do all year! Even if it was the slightest dance move, a little tap here and a litte tap there, she was dancing. On June 5, she had her first dance recital. She did a great job and wanted to do it again. The entire 9 months of classes, the early Saturday mornings, the financial cost and all the little things inbetween was worth every second for her 3 minute performance.

We are so proud of you Kaitlyn!
