Today is the second annual Rare Disease Day sponsored by Biomarin. This important day is designed to raise awareness with policy makers and the public about rare diseases and their impact on patients lives. The last day of February has been designated worldwide as Rare Disease Day to call attention to the public health issues associated with rare diseases which affect nearly 30 million Americans and countless others around the world.
You can help raise awareness and share your story with the world by visiting the Rare Disease Day 2009 website. You may upload photos and videos and view those submitted by others.
