For her birthday this year, Kate asked for a guinea pig. Although we loved having a guinea pig, we decided to go the hamster route this time. It took a few tries to find one because as quick as the stores get them, they are sold. Kate and Matt went to the pet store on the day delivery was expected and this cute, little Syrian hamster was ready to come home! We gave her a few days to adjust, not picking her up and just letting her get used to her new surroundings.
After several name changes, Kate named her Roxie. She's a fun, little, new pet and Kate has shown great responsibilty taking care of her.
