Kaitlyn,
Welcome to your teenage years! Hold on, it's going to be quite a ride but the best one of you life. These next years you are going to experience so many changes-physically, emotionally, socially...some will be amazing, some will be challenging. Here's the thing though, you will get through it and be stronger, smarter, and a better person because of it.
Over the past several weeks, I constantly kept saying, "I can't believe we are going to have teenagers!" The day has come and I am still in denial. You are maturing yet at the same time still have that childlike personality. I mean that in a good way. I love all our snuggles, our mommy-daughter time, and the fact you still look for my opinion and advice. I hope, no matter how old you are, this never falters. I hope you and I have as good of a relationship as I have with grandma and you always will share things with me, ask my for my advice, and need your mom.
Things you like at the moment: Creating Instagram accounts (editing, intros/outros), Roblox, taking long walks with Dad and Coco, learning new things (computer editing programs), staying in comfy clothes all day, staying up late at night, and watching and following Tik-Tok and You Tube.
You have become more helpful (even if it takes us 100x to ask), you and Ryan continue to fight like siblings do, and your best friend continues to be Emily.
I hope this year is an amazing one! I love you a bushel and a peck!
Happy Birthday, Katilyn!
Love, Mom
Happy 13th Birthday, Kaitlyn!!! The day is finally here and you are officially a teenager. I remember when you were a baby and I used to hold you and we would stare into each others eyes. It seems like we have had a special bond between us since then. When you were 11 we moved to Georgia and I'm proud of how you handled the move and started a new school and have gotten good grades. You are now a fine young lady and I will be here to support you in the future with anything you need.
Love,
Dad
