Dear Kaitlyn,
12 years ago you came into this world and my life forever changed. Mother's and daughters have a special bond and as you have gotten older, I see how this bond between us has formed and changed. I love how you tell me everything, aren't afraid to ask questions and I hope this never changes. Over the last year, you are developing into a young lady and coming out of your shell a little bit more. Dad and I are proud of all your efforts, your adjustment to a new state and middle school.

Some of the things you are currently into include Tik-tok, Snap-Chat and playing Roblox with Ryan or Emily. You still like to read Dork Diaries and I am trying to introduce you to some new books (you need to read more!). If you could, you would probably spend the whole day snuggled in your bed on your phone. You don't watch too much TV except for the occasional reality show like Master Chef Junior or America's Got Talent. You have developed your own fashion sense, still hate to wear denim jeans and have started wearing a little makeup when you want. During your recent visit to the pediatrician, you were 4ft 11inches tall and, as per the doctor, "exactly where you are supposed to be". I hope this year brings nothing but great things for you. Dad and I love you so very much. The countdown to your teens has officially begun!
