Matt was able to secure tickets to Sea World in Orlando, Florida through a Veterans program so we decided to take a last minute trip. The twins have never been and I haven't gone since I was a young child. It was a 3 day getaway which consisted of several hours in the car, and rainy and humid weather but fun memories were made.
6-9-19 We arrived at our hotel in Orlando around 4:45 (approx 8 hour drive). We spent some time in the pool and then drove down International Drive. We stopped at Pointe Orlando where there were shoppes and restaurants and we had dinner at Opas's Tavern. A very high energy, loud music and lots of dancing on the tables atmosphere.

6-10-19 We spent the majority of the day at Sea World. We were able to visit all the exhibits which included Stingray and Shark feedings, Dolphin Cove and the Manatee Rehab. We rode the Journey to Atlantis log flume, saw the penguins in the very cold Antarctica (Empire of the Penguins), watched the Sea Lion and Otter show, and the Dolphin show. Our final show of the day was at Shamu Stadium, "One Ocean", which showcased the killer whales. I ventured out and went on the Manta roller coaster. It was years since my last "real" roller coaster and although it was an adrenaline rush, it was not for the weary. It might be a few years before my next one! A section at Sea World was dedicated to Sesame Street. It was fun to walk through and watch the afternoon parade. We decided to leave before the evening shows due to severe thunderstorms.
6-11-19 The day we headed back home we stopped at Universal City Walk. We explored some of the shoppes and ate lunch at the Chocolate Emporium.
