Don't Stop Believin'

Sometimes I wish I could freeze time. I knew the day would come and, to be honest, I am surprised it went this long. The twins finally admitted they "no longer believe". Easter Bunny, Santa, Elf on the Shelf, Mensch on the Bench...done. I was a bit saddened by this realization. I told the kids things aren't going to change much, maybe the Elf won't go to such extremes, but we will stay have fun and make memories. They will do the same for their children one day. We talked about the spirit and the meaning of holidays. I’ll miss the innocence of it all. Ryan put it best when he said “Thanks for my childhood Mom”. My heart was full. They may have stopped believing in the myth but I told them, "Don't stop believing in the magic."

Stephen Plesnik Easter egg hunts anyway!!!
Alison Moran DeStefano Phil didn't want any part of the egg hunt. He's 12. He'll always take a basket full of candy and gift cards though.
Michelle Orlet-Gamma My son Brandon admitted to me today. This past Christmas is the first Christmas he knew also. He is 11 and I knew it was coming. Although he asked if I can still hide eggs for him.
