How is it possible that my 5lb 4 oz baby girl is 10 years old today? You are certainly one of my greatest treasures in life and the one who can frustrate me the most at times. In your short little 10 years you have learned so much about the world. You are smart, hard-working, caring and sensitive, and very stubborn, just like your mommy. You work hard although can get easily frustrated but have achieved so much. From needing physical therapy when you were a baby all through your years of speech therapy, you always made mommy and daddy so proud. I love sitting next to you and spend time doing crafts or coloring together. My heart melts every time you call me "Mama". I love your little snuggles when you crawl into my bed in the wee hours of the morning or watching you with your messy curls above your head when you fall asleep in my bed.
This year you continued with Girl Scouts and tried something new with gymnastics. At times, you're still quite shy but have your close knit group of friends. I know how caring you could be and how much love you have to give and I hope that continues until you grow very, very old. I know you and Ryan don't always get along but one day your little brother will be your best friend. You are a beautiful girl and I am so happy that you are mine. Happy Birthday Katie-cakes!
