Imagine

Last night Matt and I were playing with the twins before bed and he said to me, " Can you imagine what it would be like with only one?" Don't read into it the wrong way. He was saying he can't imagine only one. We can't picture a Ryan without a Kaitlyn or a Kaitlyn without a Ryan.
I must hear at least 1x a day, "Wow, it must be hard" or "You must be so tired" or "How do you do it?".
Here are my answers:
  • "Yes, it's hard..just like one child or 4 children. Each day brings its own challenges but also its own rewards."
  • "Yes, I'm tired. I'm always tired. My own fault, I stay up too late and have to get up too early."
  • "How do I do it? I don't know any different. I stay organized and try to keep to routine (sometimes). I get stressed out about a lot of things. Especially now in the clingy stage and at times when it comes to food choices for Ryan because of his PKU. I'll be the first to tell any parent of multiples, or a singleton, leave the room for 5 minutes, take a deep breath and start over. So, how do I do it? I just do."

Can I imagine only one...not for a second!

I hear you! I can't imagine one for even a second. And my favorite reponse to the "How do you do it" question is also "Easy. I don't know any different". Nope, our kids were lucky enough to come into this world in pairs, so even though we moms get stressed, we're blessed. =)

PS - LOVE the yoga picture, Kaitlyn is very zen!
