Climbing new obstacles

Climbing...
For me, the ladder to healing. I miss my dad tremendously. Some days are better than others. Some days it hits me like a ton of bricks. I still go to pick up the phone to tell him something the twins do. I could tell him they ate a lima bean and he would be excited. There will never be any replacement to his reactions. I miss calling the house and upon picking up his phone hearing him say "Hello, mother of 2!". He always had a way of answering the phone differently for each person who called. I miss hearing him sing silly songs to Ryan and Katie. It's been 4 weeks since my dad passed away. 4 weeks and still that unreal feeling.

Climbing..
Ryan is our Olympic climber. He climbs the chairs, the toy basket, the rockers, the stairs, and anybody in his path. He loves to climb over us, especially when is he playing on the floor with Matt. Matt is Ryan's personal playground...thru the legs, over the back, on the stomach..any which way he can go.

Katie has made such great progress over the past few weeks. She is not quite at the Olympic level as Ryan but let me tell you she is making the qualifying rounds. She climbed her first flight of stairs yesterday and we are so proud of her. Today she did her first round of furniture walking. She gets so excited when we start clapping for her. Ryan even joins in on cheering her on. Her PT is really paying off and we can't wait to see her take those first steps.

Climbing...
Schedule changes. We are trying to implement a new nap schedule eliminating their late afternoon nap. Today I pushed back their morning nap, gave them lunch and then tried an afternoon nap. Usually we nap then have lunch which ends up being a late lunch too close to dinner time scenario. So far so good, they have been napping for almost 2 hours.

It's a tall ladder but one day we will make it to the top.
