Until Kaitlyn and Ryan's 1st Birthday. We have been trying to teach them how to hold up their one finger when asked "how old are you?" Katie has been doing it and she started to clap this week too. Ryan on the other hand just wants to move and crawl and has no interest in anything else. As a matter of fact, yesterday the kids were up for a nap when I heard Katie crying. I gave it a few minutes but she didn't stop. When I went to check on them I was astonished to see 2 things:
1) Katie was sitting up in her crib. This is progress. She will sit up on her own if placed in the position but has yet to sit herself up. She is receiving PT and the exercises I have been doing with her are definitely helping her progress. Her therapist said she sees a difference too and expects in the next few weeks she'll be cruising just like Ryan.
2)The second thing I noticed was Katie had a visitor in her crib..RYAN! He pulled himself over from his crib into her crib and was sitting there playing with her toys. Needless to say, thank goodness he wasn't hurt, we lowered his crib to the lowest level last night.
