Oreo, our Guinea Pig, has been sick for a few weeks. He had stopped eating and drinking to the point where we were syringe feeding him. Last night, we had finalized our decision to have him euthanized at the vet. We spent time petting him and holding him.
This morning when we woke up, he had burrowed himself into his bedding and had passed on.
There are all kinds
of pets in this world...dogs, cats, birds, fish, lizards, hamsters, rabbits-the
list goes on. No matter what your pet is, they hold a special place in your
heart. The twins picked him
out 4 years ago and we have loved him ever since. We will miss your squeaky
morning wake-ups, your popping for food, your purrs when being pet and the way
you walked over and stood on the little gate when we opened your cage. Thanks
for being a good little guy Oreo.
