Riding Shotgun

Father's Day 2008
Father's Day is so hard without you. Every day is hard without you. Today, as I have done for the past 3 years, I spent my lunch with you at your grave site. As I was leaving the cemetery, I started the car and as soon as I turned on the radio "The River" by Garth Brooks began playing.  It brought me right back to our road trip back from Alabama to NY during a rough time in my life. I clearly recall hearing this song and saying "This is going to be my song".  James Van Praagh, a well known medium, say there are no coincidences. When you hear something or think of someone it means that person is there with you.  Thanks for the sign Dad and riding shotgun.

  • Tricia Florio Want to hear something amazing, I went to the cemetary this morning too, by myself, which never happens, I always have Jessica in tow. I got in the car and 101.1 was on. I very rarely listen to this station, but Elvis' "Wonder of You" was on, that was my dads favorite song. They are always by our sides.
