Annual Pumpkin Pickin'

For the past 3 years we have gone to Stakey's Pumpkin Farm for our annual pumpkin picking. This year, however, we didn't actually get to "pick" the pumpkins out of the field. Because of Hurricane Irene and a very rainy season, most of the local pumpkin crops were destroyed. We were not able to find one pumpkin in the field that was salvageable. We had to choose from pallets of pumpkins which were shipped in from Canada. It wasn't the same experience but you had fun nonetheless.
