This was a great Chanukah season! Each night we lit the menorah and the twins would repeat the prayer after me. Ryan would say "Mommy we light the 'norah'. Then we get presents!" Didn't take them long to figure that part out! To see and hear their reactions this year was priceless. Some of their classics statements were:
- "Oh Mommy, I love it. Thank you, Thank you."
- "Wow. A Thomas book!"
- "A Dora doll?! For me!?! It's my 'fave-bit'."
- "Thank you for buying me my presents at the store Mommy."
I have the kids so well trained when they get their presents before and after opening them, they hold them up and say cheese without cueing. They know the words to the dreidel song and like to sing it when playing with the dreidel. Now that they are getting older and are starting to understand more, I am so excited to be able to start family holiday traditions with them.
