Christmas 2009

I am sure I could say this with every annual post I do but.. What a difference a year makes!

We spent Christmas at home, just the four of us. Unfortunately, Ryan had the croup, Katie had an ear infection and mommy was sick as well.

Christmas morning we all woke up to find presents under the tree. Ryan, you just tore into them. Katie, you were a little crabby so it took you a few gifts to really get into the spirit. Of course, every gift you ripped the paper off, you wanted to open at that moment and play with them.

Mommy and daddy couldn't help but smile as you called out "Thomas", "Cars" and "Dolly". We get so much joy out of watching you play with new toys and discover how things work. Ryan, you have spent hours and hours playing with your Thomas the Train set. You go to bed with Thomas and you wake up saying "Thomas". Katie, you love to play with your new doll house. Your favorite thing to do is to put baby on the potty and say. "Baby go pee-pee on potty."
Our holidays are more meaningful because of the two of you. You will always be our best gift.
